Disney Television Animation has reeled in a second-season pick-up of Disney Channel’s animated comedy series “Fish Hooks” and an order for a new animated Disney Channel comedy series, “Gravity Falls,” each creator-driven series from noteworthy storytellers Noah Z. Jones and Alex Hirsch. The announcement was made today by Eric Coleman, Senior Vice President, Original Series, Disney Television Animation.

Coleman said: “The heart of our work is storytelling, and in these two outstanding projects we have the pleasure and privilege of working with a team of talented artists, in every sense of the word, who are delivering wonderfully imaginative characters and relevant stories to kids and families around the world.” He continued, “We’re gratified that viewers have responded so strongly and positively to ‘Fish Hooks,’ and we believe ‘Gravity Falls,’ will be a perfect addition to our growing lineup of shows that are fresh, contemporary and custom-made for our audience.”

Eye-catching and funny, “Fish Hooks” is led by former freelance illustrator Noah Z. Jones (children’s books Always in Trouble and Not Norman: A Goldfish Story) whose unique character designs and sensibility first came to the attention of Disney Television Animation executive Mike Moon via Jones’ website. Moon asked Jones if he’d ever thought about doing anything in TV and, two years later, Jones’ imaginative story of three tween fish navigating high school debuted. Since its September premiere, “Fish Hooks” is neck and neck with “Phineas and Ferb” as TV’s No. 1 animated series among Kids 6-11 (1.52 million/6.1 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (1.14 million/4.7 rating)*, and is also second only to Disney’s hit “Phineas and Ferb” for 2010.

Chelsea Staub and Sammi Hanratty were among just a few of the stars who stepped out at the “Kids Help Children” event at the Anaheim Hilton Hotel, which benefited CHOC Children’s Hospital over the weekend.

Along with Joey King, Shane Harper, Ryan Ochoa, Austin Anderson and Malese Jow, they all enjoyed Cold Stone Creamery cupcakes in flavors like Pumpkin Cheesecake and Double Chocolate Devotion.

The carnival style event brought together the families of Orange County with their favorite young celebrities as they enjoyed bounce houses, games, and an outdoor concert.

Chelsea Staub leans on the shoulder of Noah Hunt in this exclusive new image from the upcoming web series, The Homes.

JJJ did our digging and found out the original new series is a cross-country adventure backed by an indie rock soundtrack, telling the story of a girl (Staub) who just wants to get home.

The Homes will feature original music by the whole cast and will premiere this coming January on Lockerz.com, a members-only social commerce website where you can earn PTZ (”Pointz”) by shopping, watching videos, listening to music and inviting friends. PTZ can then be used for discounts and great free products from your favorite brands.

Remember that web series Chelsea Staub kept tweeting about over this past summer? Well, this is the trailer!

JJJ still isn’t 100% sure what it’s all about, but digging through director John Cabrera’s blog we found this: “I’m directing a web series. It’s a story I wrote back in April. And it deals with music. I guess when we started, I didn’t really think about where we were going with it. It was just like, ‘Musical web series. Okay, let’s do it and see what happens.’ Well let me tell you what happened.

“In May, we began a casting process that had us seeing (and hearing) about a hundred actors and actresses within 3 weeks. Every last one of them played an instrument, and the level of acting was through the roof amazing? I have to be honest, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but my casting director, Mara Casey of Gilmore Girls fame, pretty much rocked it like a mega phone.”

The series will premiere this coming January on LOCKERZ.com and also stars Noah Hunt, Minni Jo Mazzola, Justin Stein and Zach Cumer.

It’s official. JONAS L.A. will not be coming back for a third season.

A Disney Channel spokesperson told JJJ, “We’ve been fortunate to work with the enormously talented Jonas Brothers on several projects, including the Emmy-nominated series JONAS L.A.

“The series has concluded as scheduled after two very successful seasons, and all original episodes of its second season have aired. The Jonas Brothers are currently busy wrapping up their 40+ city concert tour and will soon be back in the studio working on music projects for Disney’s Hollywood Records. We look forward to working with them on new projects in the future.”

And while Joe is moving on from Demi Lovato with a new woman, Chelsea herself is "100% single" these days -- but actively looking and dating!
When she DOES find that special someone, she expects her brothers from another mother ¨C Jonas brothers Joe, Nick and Kevin ¨C to tell her what they honestly think of him. "I've dated guys they didn't like and they've sat me down and said, 'Listen, he's not good for you'", she told us. These four are definitely a tight knit group!

So Ashley, if you're no good for Chelsea's BFF Joe, you better expect that she's not going to keep her mouth shut!
